Training of Executive Managers
The training and capacity-building programme aimed at improving the quality of the legislative cycle was targeted at officials of the Greek public administration, with the aim of creating a “community of legislative drafters” across the public administration that would contribute to and support the effective implementation of regulatory reforms.
Familiarization with alternative approaches to problem-solving that do not entail the introduction of new regulatory measures.
Familiarization with the methodology and criteria for the selection of alternative solutions before introducing new regulatory measures.
Practical application of the criteria in case studies
Discussion and reflection on the utility of legislative tools and their applicability
The immediate objective of the programme was to train senior and other officials of the public administration in matters of legislative drafting, and specifically:
Consolidation of knowledge in legislative drafting
Familiarisation with the principles and concepts of legislative drafting associated with producing high-quality legislation (understanding)
Hands-on practice in the application of these principles across various case scenarios (application)
